A piece in minor ends on a major tonic.

In C minor:

G7 → C major

instead of:

G7 → Cm

Historically very common.

The only change:

E♭ → E

Suddenly the ending brightens.

Even if the term is unfamiliar, the sound may be very familiar from classical music.
