Great.

B is a chord tone.

If melody is D:

also great.

D is the 7th.

If melody is G♯:

perfect, that's the 3rd.

If melody is G natural:

that's a ♯9-like tension against E7.

Could sound bluesy/jazzy, but it changes the character.

So context matters.
