86.100Mini-project — one continuous 72-bar arrangement

Create a 72-bar through-composed solo-piano arrangement.

Requirements:

• no more than three primary motifs/cells in the entire piece
• intro material must recur later
• first melody statement must flow directly into next section without full reset
• one background layer must become foreground
• one transition must be a gradual texture/groove morph lasting at least four bars
• one hard cut is allowed and must be structurally justified
• one key area must be foreshadowed before becoming tonic
• one melody return must be incomplete or fragmented
• one reprise must use significantly different density from first statement
• one local climax must occur before midpoint
• one larger global climax must occur later
• one callback must appear in different register and harmonic meaning
• coda must resolve or reinterpret something introduced in the intro
• final 4 bars must contain less information than the global climax

The goal:

the listener should not be able to point to every seam.
