Write 16 bars:

• bars 1–4: one sus center
• 5–8: same sus structure on a new root
• 9–12: return, but change rhythmic texture
• 13–16: either functional cadence or open modal ending

Restrictions:

• no conventional major/minor triads in root position
• one main motif
• at least one quartal voicing
• at least one common-tone connection
