18.58Don't confuse theory labels with sound
If someone says:
“Use Dorian here,”
you should ultimately hear:
minor chord, natural 6 color.
“Mixolydian”:
dominant sound, ♭7.
“Lydian”:
major sound, #4/#11.
That's more useful than Greek terminology alone.
