In analysis you may see:

subV7/I

meaning substitute dominant of the tonic.

Or:

subV7/ii

meaning substitute dominant of ii.

Example in C:

target ii = Dm.

Normal dominant = A7.

Tritone substitute = E♭7.

So:

E♭7 → Dm

= subV7/ii → ii.
