16.53Play behind the beat

For a relaxed jazz feel, don't mechanically attack every note exactly with the metronome.

Once your timing is solid, try placing melodic notes slightly relaxed behind the pulse while keeping the underlying time stable.

Do not confuse this with losing tempo.

This is phrasing, not inaccuracy.
