9.3Common tones first

When moving from one chord to the next:

1. Find shared notes.
2. Keep them if practical.
3. Move the remaining notes by the smallest interval.

Example:

F = F A C

to:

Dm = D F A

Shared notes:

F, A

So instead of jumping to D-F-A, use:

F A D

Only C moves to D.
