36.104Why this is different from ordinary reharmonization
We changed almost nothing in the bass.
Instead we manipulated:
- scale color
- rhythmic pattern
- suspended versus dominant identity
- tension duration
- eventual structural resolution
That is another reminder:
harmonic sophistication does not require many chords.
