8.21Improvisation rule: target the I, not every chord

In:

Fm7 → B♭7 → E♭maj7

Fm7 → B♭7 → E♭maj7

you can aim your phrase toward:

G

or:

D

on E♭maj7.

The ii and V become the road into that target.

This is much more musical than playing a separate lick for Fm7, then another for B♭7.
