Write a 4-bar RH melody.

Then write an LH line that:

• mostly moves opposite to it
• avoids constant root jumps
• uses chord tones/scale tones
• approaches important notes by step

Only afterward choose chord labels.

This reverses the normal harmony-first workflow.
