4.33A practical progression to master

Use:

C → G/B → Am → Em/G → F → C/E → Dm → G7 → C

Look at the bass:

C → B → A → G → F → E → D → G → C

Most of the first part descends stepwise.

Play only the bass first.

Then add right-hand chords.

This is a great example of why inversions matter musically, not just technically.
