Play these pairs slowly:

B → C

F♯ → G

C♯ → D

G♯ → A

D♯ → E

Each is:

7 → 1

Listen for the upward pull by semitone.

Then reverse them:

C → B

G → F♯

D → C♯

Now it feels different—more like falling away from stability than resolving into it.
