1.7Minor chord

A minor triad is:

root + minor 3rd + perfect 5th

So C minor:

C + 3 = E♭

C + 7 = G

Therefore:

Cm = C E♭ G

Cm = C E♭ G

= до ми-бемоль соль

Compare:

C = C E G

C = C E G

Cm = C E♭ G

Only one note changed.

The third determines major versus minor.

This is extremely important.

At the piano, play these alternately:

C E G

then:

C E♭ G

Listen to the emotional change caused by moving only E down one semitone.
