28.8Do not memorize one “bossa pattern” as gospel
Many teaching books give one pattern and call it “the bossa nova rhythm.”
That's useful initially.
But real bossa accompaniment varies.
What matters is the relationship:
- steady bass underpinning
- syncopated chord placement
- melodic phrasing floating over both
Learn the feel, not one permanent stencil.
