24.63Piano cannot sustain like a voice

Once a piano note is struck, it decays.

So on a long melody note you can support it by:

• inner movement,
• repeated soft note,
• chord change underneath,
• register reinforcement,
• pedal.

But don't mechanically re-strike every long note.
