This is an excellent transformation exercise because the original tune naturally suggests ordinary symmetrical phrasing.
Force it into 5/4.
Do not simply add an extra beat to every bar.
Instead reshape the phrases.
Intro
5/4 bass ostinato.
Phrase 1
melody adapted into clear 3+2.
Phrase 2
same melody more syncopated.
Phrase 3
climax with three-beat motif displacement.
Final phrase
return to obvious 3+2.
Ending
5-beat tag → tonic.
The melody remains recognizable, but its rhythmic architecture becomes entirely new.
