2.44Level 16 — Add a turnaround

At the end of the form, instead of simply holding Gm, create motion back to the beginning.

You might use a turnaround that points toward Cm7.

For example:

Gm → A7 → Dm7♭5/G?

But don't invent complexity blindly.

The most useful practical principle is:

find the dominant of the next starting chord.

Next chord is Cm7.

Dominant of C = G7.

So use some form of:

Gm → G7 → Cm7

if melody/form permits.

That G7 turns G from minor tonic into dominant of C.

Very effective.
