A common melodic gesture descends toward tonic with dominant/blues color.

Rather than memorizing one cliché, create:

chromatic descent

→ tonic chord.

For example:

RH line:

G → G♭ → F → E♭ → C

G → G♭ → F → E♭ → C

while LH settles on C.
