40.40Level 18 — riff reharmonization

Suppose the riff contains:

C-E♭-E-G.

Ask what chords can support it.

C7: obvious.

F7: some notes become tensions.

A♭7: C = 3, E♭ = 5, G can be maj7-ish tension depending voicing.

You can discover harmonic possibilities from the riff.
